To ensure awarded debt recovery and receivable management programs are processed according to best-of-class practices and client requirements, OAC establishes minimum work standards designed by and for our business partners based on their specific client directives. Most agencies in today’s economic environment have very rigid practices and procedures and very rarely will step out of the box for fears of excessive capital expenditure or fear of being outside of their normal comfort levels. OAC and its parent company FNF Canada have 20 years of successfully operating with an “out of the box” philosophy dedicated to exceeding client expectations in all areas of our partnerships.

Interacting with Debtors

We work together with debtors on the telephone and by letter for debt recovery and collections. Telephone attempts are made as often as necessary and as required by law to deliver optimum results and continue until contact is made or until accounts are deemed uncollectible.

Our integrated predictive dialer technology maximizes telephone contact efficiently and economically. The call management technology of the dialer provides seamless integration with OAC’s debt recovery and collections software. The state of the art (Future Technology) operates in a cloud environment and automatically manages the flow of all inbound and outbound calls for the purposes of maximum contacts.

Credit Bureau Reporting

OAC utilizes credit bureau reporting from Equifax and Transunion as a collection instrument in accordance with all provincial statutes and client guidelines. At our client’s discretion, OAC reports accounts to one or both of the major reporting bureaus in Canada. We then leverage this tool to urge debtors to remit full payment.

Skip Tracing
OAC uses various location methods and electronic databases to find current contact information for all accounts having inaccurate addresses and telephone numbers. On initial placement, OAC processes all debtor collection accounts to verify telephone and address information then we segregate those accounts ready to be contacted from those requiring addition skip tracing or location services.

OAC also utilizes scrubbing and scoring techniques up front during the initial recovery process. This greatly enhances the opportunities for greater early recoveries and right party contacts.

OAC also utilizes the skip recovery services of Equifax (Triggering) and TransUnion (Watch Program). These highly sophisticate programs assist in identify any changes in a personal credit report and reports those changes immediately to our skip tracing department.

The success of our debt recovery and receivable management programs is founded on the collaborative relationship we establish with our clients and the best practices having evolved from those partnerships over our more than 20 year history.
